A solution to hot food becoming cold on the plate

What is a “Foodie”

June 12th, 2008 by DiningStones

Platter of burgersWikipedia states that a “Foodie” is an informal term for a particular class of aficionado of food and drink. The word was coined in 1981 by Paul Levy and Ann Barr, who used it in the title of their 1984 book The Official Foodie Handbook. I like the book How to Be a Better Foodie: A Bulging Little Book for the Truly Epicurious by Sudi Pigott.

I consider myself a “foodie” for a completely different reason – I am a rebel without a measuring cup! I prefer to go my own direction with recipes and follow the Food Network as my official foodie handbook.
